Pain-free breastfeeding has arrived!
My daughter is now 3 weeks old - as of this morning. Knock on wood, I am now breastfeeding without pain. Let me be clear, I don't put my breasts in the line of fire under the shower head, or casually wrap my towel around them afterwards. They are still my delicate flowers :) But I no longer feel the sharp pain when my baby latches on, and I don't feel like my nipples are on fire after breastfeeding. And no more scabs. Hip hip hooray!
So I guess I can put my TendHer Pillows further back in the fridge now, in a less visible place. I'm sure I'll need them again, but I'm not using them 8 times a day like I had been before. It is getting easier. In fact, on one side it's a joy to breastfeed. The other is... sort of pleasant. We'll get there :)
With joy overall,
Erin
