I took my first trip without the trusty My Brest Friend. It went ok – I ended up doing the side-lying position most of the time anyway. What I didn’t count on is that breastfeeding in a hotel room is the equivalent of breastfeeding in a one-room house. My older daughter would laugh, and baby would pull off to look at her. Ouch. Ok, and now back on.... then the elder would jump on the bed and the latch would jerk half-off and back on. So my husband would tell her to stop jumping on the bed and the baby would pull off again from the sound of his voice...and on and on. Youch.
I seriously needed some breastfeeding pain relief and my TendHer Pillows were back home in the fridge. If my nipples could talk they would've been screaming, "What are you waiting for? Put on the TendHers!" I almost ordered some off Amazon so I could have them A-Sap – but since it was a weekend trip I pushed through and all's well that ends well. That said, it was one of the FIRST things I did when I got home. Ahh, there’s no place like home. Especially when home is where you keep your TendHer Pillows.
